On behalf of the Executives and Membership of the Hamilton Black Health Community Leaders Forum, I invite you to Africa Day 2023 celebration on May 27th, 2023. Hamilton Black Health Community Leaders Forum (HBHCLF) is organizing an event in observance of Africa Day Celebration. Hamilton Black Health Community Leaders Forum is the voice of Hamilton's African Diasporian Community on health-related matters at all the various levels of government. The organization represents our community in the spirit of partnership with the government and other relevant stakeholders with a mission to advance its member-unique needs regarding the social determinants of health.
Africa Day celebration, which will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, is supported by a number of community partners. The theme for this year's celebration is "AFRICA- Opportunities in Challenging Times." This overarching theme reminds us that the world remains uncertain; however, one thing that unites us is our community. As a result, we should find opportunities and advantages from what is happening to stay engaged, share resources and work hand-in-hand with each other.
The ceremony will start at noon on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at the ACCA Banquet Hall located at 754 Barton Street East, Hamilton ON, and our program for that day will include highlighting our partnerships and accomplishments, health promotion activities, showcasing Black/African businesses and vendors, entertainment and many more.
It would be a great honour to have you join us in celebrating this great occasion and spending time with our African community members in Hamilton.
Yours sincerely,
Comfort Afari
